The APCs are fees to support the open-access publishing model of JIAO under Mirault & Levesque Publishing House (see details below).

This selection process emphasizes transparency, compliance with standards, and the commitment to open-access publishing, providing authors with a clear path from submission to publication.

Article Process Charges (APCs)

The Article Processing Charges (APCs) are in line with established standards for academic publishing, ensuring quality and accessibility in research dissemination. By paying APCs, authors enable their work to be freely accessible to the global academic community and the general public, fostering broader dissemination and increasing the impact of their research. These fees are crucial for supporting the open-access publishing model of the Journal of International Academic Outreach (JIAO), published by Mirault & Levesque Publishing House.

The basic APCs covers the costs associated with the editorial and publishing processes, including:

  • Peer review and editorial management
  • Formatting and typesetting of articles
  • Maintenance of the journal’s open-access platform
  • Indexation into related databases
  • Archiving and distribution of published works

The basic Article Processing Charges (APCs) will be provided upon notification of selection.

In addition to the Article Processing Charge (APCs), authors should be aware that additional charges may be incurred for specific editorial services beyond standard publishing processes. These additional services may include:

  • Translation Services: If the manuscript requires translation to meet publication standards or being published in special issues, charges may apply based on the length and complexity of the text.
  • Proofreading Services: For manuscripts needing extensive proofreading or editing to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to language standards, additional fees may be assessed.

These services are optional, but they can enhance the quality of the final publication. Authors will be informed of any applicable charges prior to the commencement of these additional services, allowing for informed decision-making regarding the preparation of their manuscripts for publication. For any inquiries regarding these additional charges, please feel free to contact the editorial team.

Waiver Grant

This year, authors could be eligible to a partial of full Waiver Grant from the Selection Committee. The final selection of the awarded article will be announced to the authors at the stage of the Notification of Selection. No decision or preliminary assessment will be given prior to the official submission of the article. This process is selective.
